At first, the disparate preferences of Inéz and Demian Kappenstein hardly seem compatible: He is immersed in crafting organic beats, recorded with drums and provided with effects. She a completely unique kind of singer, using voice, piano and synths to fuse melodies into a new futuristic sound as if through a prism. But then a second listen reveals that the songs of the two as ÄTNA, precisely because of their eclectic structure beyond all conventions, radiate a magic that can hardly be grasped, are completely singular in style and execution. In "Ruining My Brain" or "Come To Me", art pop, futuristic indietronica, lush rhythms and glorious vocals flow into each other without boundaries and awaken a longing that always means departure - goose bumps included. No doubt: Their debut "Made By Desire" is indeed a new chapter in German pop history. And rightly so, ÄTNA were also awarded the coveted Anchor Award of the Reeperbahn Festival for it.

ÄTNA are a creative duo at eye level. They combine fashion and design with their music, wear monochrome stage costumes and deliver visually impressive videos, which they laconically call "carving out their own world.
