The Queer Theater Collective from Dortmund: a stage for diversity, workshops & empowerment

The Queere Theater Kollektiv from Dortmund is more than just a theater group - it is a creative association of nine queer artists, performers and everyday experts who are passionate about questioning social norms and bringing queerness to the stage. This is where digital and performing arts, computer and social science as well as discrimination-sensitive and queer perspectives meet. The result? Unique theater projects that open up new perspectives on gender, identity and technology and make queer life realities visible in NRW and throughout Germany.

With productions such as "The Unknown Flesh" (on 20.11.2025 in Münster!), the collective creates spaces for empowerment, solidarity and visibility. "The Unknown Flesh" is an intermedia performance that uses artificial intelligence and digital aesthetics to make gender diversity tangible. Three performers explore the categories of male, female and diverse and question how AI understands gender.

As a "relaxed performance", the show is particularly accessible: sounds and movements are welcome, the space can be left and re-entered at any time, and the projections and volume are adjusted to suit.

Whether you are already a theater professional or simply curious about queer stage art - you are welcome here! The shows combine artistic innovation with social commitment and offer a stage for up-and-coming queer artists (LSBPATINQ+).
