Anne Meinhardt de Alvarez, wood sculptor, ceramic artist and art mediator, also knows that creativity connects people. Her studio regularly hosts pottery courses where you can immerse yourself in meditative work with clay - but also sit together with other people who are also trying to express their creativity through pottery. Trying things out together, laughing, chatting: It's all part of the feel-good atmosphere here. 💫

The lovely team from DIY & Drinks will be offering more great workshops. As the name suggests, the hearts of all DIY mice and gourmets beat faster here, because in addition to creating beaded jewelry, flowerhoops, candles or disco ball macramé, delicious drinks are served. Informal get-togethers guaranteed - we know from our own experience! 💕

You can also get creative with Clara and Marisa from Project C. in a special place: the movie theater! At their "Craft Cinema Night" series, you can bring your own DIY project (crocheting, knitting, embroidery - anything that can be done in a movie theater seat) and work on it during the film in the midst of good company. They also offer workshops. Do you want to design jewelry or learn to crochet? Then Project C. is the right place for you! 🍿

Another tip for all creative and DIY enthusiasts: the Färberei. Here, space is created for encounters and exchanges between art enthusiasts. The open workshops are an informal get-together. Just drop by and have a look! For example, community sewing? 🌸

Kulturhaus Milbertshofen also offers creative courses and workshops, as well as a wide range of other community activities - language cafés, chess and games evenings, dance clubs and more! The LUISE cultural center is also a place for events of all kinds and, above all, for encounters and exchanges. Another place for diversity and a meeting place for everyone is Bellevue di Monaco, the residential and cultural center for refugees and non-refugees from Munich. The in-house café is organized together with migrants - that's why you'll find a great variety of culinary influences on the menu! Bellevue also offers a diverse cultural program: panel discussions, films, plays and concerts that address socially relevant topics. Workshops are also part of the program. All in all, a place for community and solidarity that you should definitely visit! 🫂

Last but not least, Lost Weekend should not be missing from our list. This place is a café, bar, event location and co-working space all in one, making it THE hotspot among Munich students, but also for anyone else who can't resist the unique mix of industrial and living room charm. During the day, everyone sits around the tables, engrossed in their laptops, a good book, group work or a conversation. In the evening, the tables are cleared away and the Lost Weekend becomes a location for events of all kinds: live concerts, stand-up comedy, open mics and parties.
