What it's about:
The Himmelreich campsite on Lake Schwielowsee is in turmoil: the baker has disappeared! No baker means no bread rolls, and that means a bad mood.
Permanent camper and ex-actor Björn Kupernikus and Annabelle Schäfer, his new partner "in crime", discover the baker's van near the lake; the missing man's shoes are on the shore. The police immediately assume suicide. Case solved?
Kupernikus' gut feeling tells him that there must be more to the story. Especially as there was also a break-in at a houseboat. The young owner was attacked. There is no sign of a motive. Kupernikus and Annabell begin to ask questions that soon lead them deep into a complicated case.

The author:
Andreas Winkelmann, born in 1968, is a born storyteller. He wrote his first novels in math exercise books while still at school. From there to becoming a bestselling author, he has had a colorful and eventful professional life. He has been a baker, soldier, fitness instructor, cab driver, insurance salesman and worked in a honey factory.
Whether exciting thrillers, non-fiction adventure books, novels or cozy crime: writing is his passion. He is just as passionate about traveling the world. On foot, by bike or in a camper van. So he knows all about life in the wilderness and on the campsite. He finds that it is precisely there that you can observe bizarre, curious, warm, odd or eccentric people, and there is hardly any other place where the all-too-human and unsuspected abysses are so concentrated. His crime novel "Murder in the Kingdom of Heaven" was on the Spiegel bestseller list for weeks.
