Krachwalze have been making music with the three big Gs for 10 years: Gameboy, guitar, screaming. An occasion to look back on an eventful but commercially rather unsuccessful career! Musically, Krachwalze are as hard to pin down as a missed cue in one of their songs. The Gameboy they use to generate sounds doesn't really care. It just pulls through and keeps on playing.
Krachwalze themselves have always tried to give themselves labels like
"Progressive Gameboy Grind" or "Gameboy Deathmetal Punk". As if it were necessary,
to emphasize the uniqueness of this formation. The process of creating the songs
has been recorded in the meantime. Hans (voc) comes up with a completely confused text without meter,
but with a quirky internal rhyme and Kalle (git/dr) tries to work with it as best he can.
work with it as best he can. The result is songs with a length of 30 seconds
up to one minute in 13/17 time. It's not really worth clapping for these songs if
if you didn't have to sit in this awkward silence while the Gameboy loads the next song.
has to load the next song.
Angry Policeman make mathcore. Quasi what comes out when free jazz, hardcore and metal stumble over each other in the mosh pit. And that's exactly what Angry Policeman do.
Krachwalze share with Angry Policeman above all an unreserved love of Dillinger Escape Plan. And of course Kalle (dr/git). We share that too. I get to have Kalle on the odd weekends and holidays and during school vacations. But I digress.
What might be behind this acronym?
Tanks for Delmenhorst? Punk rock for depressives? Paula sweeps attics?
Paleontologists celebrate dinosaur nuggets? We don't know. We don't even know what kind of
music they make. They're probably not quite sure themselves either. But
what are names and genre designations? Let's just call it post
Cybersynthschlagergrindwavecore. The only thing we really know about PfD is that they will be making their concert debut on October 24th. It will be an evening that only life can write. And life is like a box of chocolates. Nobody likes the ones with marzipan.
