Former martial artist Sarah (Florentina Holzinger) leaves Austria to train three sisters from a wealthy family in Jordan. What sounds like a dream job soon takes on disturbing traits: The young women are cut off from the outside world and are under constant surveillance. Sport doesn't seem to interest them. So what is the reason that Sarah has been hired?

Breaking with white savior stories and soap opera premises, Kurdwin Ayub (SONNE) manages to bring a clever yet captivating thriller to the screen and proves once again that she is one of the most exciting voices in contemporary German-language cinema. She writes about her film: "It's about sisters, no matter where they come from, and about cages, no matter where they are. Cages you want to leave and cages you wish you could get back into."
