THE JAPANESE CULTURAL FESTIVAL with music, art & culinary delights comes to Lübeck for the 2nd time

After the successful premiere in June, the special Japanese event will once again open its doors to all Japan fans in the far north on the weekend after Halloween from 12 noon to 7 pm.
The public can look forward to culture and kawaii, art and literature, design and fashion, culinary delights and lifestyle from the land of the rising sun.

In the beautiful new location, the JUNIPER next to the CITTI-PARK, there will be Japanese flair with a varied cultural program of live concerts and traditional Japanese samurai martial arts, a design market with 25 exhibitors with handmade jewelry and accessories, beautiful kimonos, Japanese art and literature, kawaii and anime products and a food court with delicious Japanese cuisine and sake tastings.

The cultural program of JAPANMARKT LÜBECK gives the public the opportunity to embark on a journey into traditional and modern Japan and get to know the diversity and changeability of this culture that fascinates so many people around the world.
Since 2013, moij momente from Hamburg has been organizing the popular Japanese cultural festivals with a curated cultural program in the most beautiful cities in Germany: Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Lübeck and Leipzig. For each event, the team curates a special selection of artists and prepares thematically coordinated contributions.

The diverse cultural program offers, among other things:
- Samurai traditions, demonstrations with a lecture by the 200-year-old Hokushin Ittō-Ryū
Hyōhō Samurai School / Tokyo
- Live concert with NILO, Munich
- Live concert ASEO & AYUMI, Netherlands
- Live concert Mai Linh Dang, Hamburg
- Shamisen concert Mana Hideshima, Hamburg

Fine Japanese patisserie, matcha and yuzu punch will be served exclusively by Café FREUNDlich from Lübeck.

In the JAPAN EVENTS merchandise area, there will once again be high-quality ceramics from TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO. And all fans of Totoro and Kiki, the famous anime characters by Hayao Miyazaki, will be delighted. As a special highlight of the pre-Christmas event, there will also be a limited selection of STUDIO GHIBLI.

It is not permitted to bring your own food and drink.

Dogs are not allowed on the premises.
