Mendelssohn Bartholdy was 12 years old when he composed his String Symphony No. 1 , which already demonstrates his extraordinary musical talent and his ability to create lively and expressive music. Mozart wrote his first entirely self-composed piano concerto at the age of 17, as did Bizet when he wrote his Symphony in C major . These great early works by young aspiring composers will be joined by 16-year-old pianist Philipp Hahn, who will perform Mozart's piano concerto. French conductor Nathanaël Iselin will be conducting the Osnabrück Symphony Orchestra for the first time.
