We cordially invite you to the screening of "2000 Meters to Andriivka" - the new work by Oscar winner and Pulitzer Prize winner Mstyslav Chernov, known for "20 Days in Mariupol".

After the world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2025 (Directing Award, World Cinema Documentary) and the German premiere at the Cologne Film Festival, we are now showing the film for the first time in selected cinemas in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The film vividly documents the struggle of Ukrainian soldiers in the destroyed village of Andriivka, near Bachmut. Chernov accompanies a brigade that literally fights for every meter of ground - a work that tells the story of war not in numbers, but in faces and fates. The screening will be followed by a film discussion with the audience.

The film screening "2000 Meters to Andriivka" is part of a NRW-wide series and is supported by the state initiative Europa-Schecks of the Minister of Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media and Head of the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Haus Foundation and the Ukrainian Film Days NRW with the kind support of the Förderkreis der ukrainischen Veteranen NRW e.G. i.G. and the Filmkunstkinos Düsseldorf.
