29. Bonner Töpfermarkt

In the organizer's words:

50 ceramics studios will transform Bonn's Münsterplatz into a stage for contemporary ceramics on June 13 and 14, 2026 - with fresh trends, proven craftsmanship and a hands-on tent for anyone who wants to work with clay themselves.

On the second weekend in June, Münsterplatz will once again become a meeting place for ceramics enthusiasts: the 29th Bonn Pottery Market will bring together 50 studios from Germany and abroad selected by the North Rhine Ceramics Guild. A colorful panorama of tableware for everyday use and festive tables, jewelry, artistic objects, planters, wind chimes, indoor fountains, garden decorations and much more unfolds in the historic heart of the city. Strolling from stand to stand, you can discover new favorite pieces, even for ceramic collectors.

Young handwriting and fresh trends

This year, a number of young exhibitors will once again enrich the market with new impulses, such as Kerstin Ruschel from Trier. With her label Maarpottery, she will be showcasing hand-thrown stoneware for everyday use - from trendy cups and plates to flower pots and bird feeders. The young potter couple from yutu-Keramik, Jan Haas and Peipei Guo, process high-fired stoneware with their own glazes and slip and incised decorations to create tableware, tiles and amphorae. Their clear forms and lively surfaces are exemplary of new designs in ceramics, as is the case with Dutch-based ceramicist Marine Feuillerat, whose glazes for mugs, cups and plates resemble landscapes or abstract paintings.

Tradition, technology and fire

Two exhibitors from Belgium, Emmanuelle Anselin and Panten-Keramik, will be showcasing unique pieces with elaborate and complex crystal glazes that date back over 1,000 years. Raku and smoke firing techniques are the passion of Ute and Arno Hastenteufel. The play with fire and smoke creates the finest surface cracks that meander on the silky, shiny glazes of their vessels. Each piece is different.

Delicate, elegant, durable - porcelain

A wide range of porcelain is also on offer again. Delicate tableware that plays with the beauty of imperfection can be found at Annette Wibral's stand. Britta Teetzen will be presenting, among other things, elegant lampshades that bathe any living space in a warm light and are dishwasher-safe.

A special highlight is the hands-on tent, where children and adults can try their hand at shaping clay and experience the material first-hand. This makes the Bonn Pottery Market not only an exhibition of high-quality ceramics, but also a place for encounters, inspiration and a living tradition of craftsmanship.
