In the organizer's words:
On October 25 and 26, 2025, the 3rd KinderKulturFestival will take place at FREIraum21:
Both days from 12 - 5 pm.
A festival by children and young people for children and young people: Performances, work shows and free activities offer space for singing, dancing, romping, playing theater, doing handicrafts or just being together.
The "Next Alphabet Theaterlabor KIDS", theater groups from the youth art school, the Talisman singing groups and there will be circus and BMX, among others.
In our new "Friends of the House" section, the Taiwan Do Akademie Krefeld will be coming to the festival with a presentation and workshop.
From Friday until Sunday, young people aged 14 and over can take part in a workshop with "the mighty creatives" from Krefeld's twin city Leicester and present their results at the festival.
On Saturday at 2:30 pm, the patron of the festival, Jan Dieren, MP, will answer questions from children and young people in the KinderDemokratieArena.
The program:
Fri, 24.10. - Sun, 26.10. / 10-16 h each (Friday 11:30-16 h).
"Without Walls" A workshop is a work of art.
The bedroom is probably everyone's! retreat. Sleeping, gambling, dreaming - even more dreaming, crying, arguing, making up - later (but we won't reveal that here).
In this workshop, a bedroom will be built. Everything you think should be in the bedroom will be brought together - installed. Sometimes you only really discover yourself when all your favorite pieces are brought together. What is really important to me - what else do I need?
This bedroom then becomes a walk-in installation. Visitors can lie down in the beds, lie in the cozy corner, play games or spread out at the dressing table - but we don't even know what you are putting together and building yet.
After a successful transnational collaboration last year, the Werkhaus and the mighty creatives are looking forward to continuing their collaboration with the new project "Without Walls": Young people from Krefeld and Leicester are teaming up to shape the future together in their respective hometowns using artistic means.

Also: "My story in fabrics"
Nurten Kocaman creates a space in which people connect with themselves in a textile way.
Participants create a small work of art from fabric remnants, old items of clothing and personal finds that makes their own story visible: a textile memento that is not about sewing techniques or previous artistic experience. It's about what makes us who we are:
About life paths, breaks, new beginnings.
About memories that are in a button.
About colors that do something to us.
About the silent power of creating something of our own - and being seen in it
Installations
12 - 5 p.m.
e.g. cinema in the basement, without walls

Moderated by Lotte de Brujin and Jontahan Singer
16:00 h Nothing/New/Summer Night's Dream
The Werkhaus shows "Classics Next Level"
Should we dance fairies while inhumanity and lies tear society apart? No, we work out what lies behind it. What has always existed and how differently people have dealt with it. The classic exposes machinations. It names what is happening. Does it also contain a solution?
Play location: A four-storey staircase with an infinite number of doors. The second time you open the same door, it's a different world. Nothing is reliable!
A performance by and with young people.
Directed by: Anna Brass and Andreas Simon
