In the organizer's words:
The Munich litter championship enters its 3rd round!
As part of World Cleanup Day, this year from September 13 to 15 , 2025 we are once again calling on all Munich districts AND NEW also communities in the district of Munich to free our beautiful city from cigarette butts, disposable cups & all kinds of garbage.
Last year, 15 districts and around 500 Munich residents took part - will we manage to break this mark?
Join forces with your neighborhood/community!
You can find out how you can help collect or even organize a team, as well as all the districts that have already registered at https://cleanup-munich.de/muellmeisterschaft/.
A jury will decide which neighborhood will take home the 3rd Munich Garbage Cup based on the results submitted:
- Who will bring the most participants to the start?
- Who fills the most 60-liter bags per participant?
- Who will track down the most curious find?
- Who collects the heaviest single item?
- Who collects the most butts, crown caps and glass bottles per participant?
The winning team will not only receive a trophy, but can also look forward to a cool prize for their neighborhood!
