30 years of Flotte Karotte - organic pioneer celebrates anniversary in Bochum

Bochum-Wattenscheid, June 2026

For three decades, Flotte Karotte has stood for fresh, organic food from the region - delivered directly to your doorstep. On June 20, 2026, the organic delivery service is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a big party in Bochum-Wattenscheid.

What began in 1996 with a few boxes and a lot of idealism is now a firmly established part of the regional supply structure. Flotte Karotte now supplies over 2,000 households, schools, daycare centers and offices in the Ruhr region with high-quality organic food every week.

Today, 47 employees from 13 nations work at the company. Diversity and participation are part of everyday life - people with disabilities, including deaf colleagues, are naturally part of the team. A good example of how inclusive working can work in practice - you can't get much more inclusive than that!

The anniversary celebration brings this attitude to the outside world: 14 partner companies from the region have already confirmed their participation and more are expected. Visitors can expect a varied day for the whole family.

In addition to an extensive children's program with a puzzle rally, bungee trampoline, children's disco and prize draws, there will be numerous hands-on activities, insights into the work of regional organic producers and a varied and first-class culinary offering.

The festival is aimed at all generations - from families with children to long-standing customers.
