Born in New York, now at home in Berlin: Sorvina is an artist on the move - both musically and biographically. Growing up in a quiet suburb, she began her career in the world of acoustic folk songs, somewhere between singer-songwriter and country. Even then, her lyrics were sharply observed, sometimes melancholy, sometimes funny - always deeply personal.

But Sorvina did not stand still. On her artistic journey, an old dream took center stage: rap. Not ironically, not as a break in style, but as a logical consequence of her love of language, rhythm and narrative music.

Today, she is deeply rooted in the hip-hop scene and combines her roots as a storyteller with driving beats, clever rhymes and impressive versatility. Each track opens a new chapter, telling of identity, movement, ruptures - and the attempt to capture all of this in sound.

Influenced by artists such as Noname, Tyler The Creator and Little Simz, Sorvina moves freely between genres without losing her own voice. Officially, she is allergic to standing still - but her music quietly asks: What is she actually running from?
