Waiblingen gets a young artistic addition: With "332 - Blick auf eine Stadt", the Kulturhaus Schwanen is opening an exhibition by 20-year-old Waiblingen art student Lenny Gränzer on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 7 pm. On the second floor of the building, he will be showing drawings that oscillate between personal memory, observation and playful exaggeration.
Gränzer works with pen and ink, his lines follow familiar paths through the city. The result is works that resemble a visual diary: places such as the Talaue, the outdoor pool or streets from everyday life are transformed into scenes that are at once nostalgic, rich in detail and full of humor. Surfaces, hatching and shading intertwine with caricaturistic expressionism - sometimes almost like a hidden object picture in which little stories and figures can be discovered.
With this exhibition, the Kulturhaus Schwanen is deliberately focusing on young artists from the region. Gränzer, currently in the third semester of his art studies at the University of Erfurt, takes the audience on a journey through Waiblingen - and shows how art can be a mirror of growing up and becoming an adult in the best sense of the word.
