First run, then relax around the campfire - only at the Sparkasse Solstice Run!

Spending the lively midsummer festival in Sweden? We celebrate the summer solstice with you at this sporty 11 km running event ! You will run a sporty lap around Lake Cospuden and enjoy the midsummer on the southern outskirts of Leipzig. Afterwards, the beautiful midsummer bonfire with music awaits you with barbecue food and drinks. Celebrate midsummer in the south of Leipzig. So, let's go to the summer edition of the Sparkasse Solstice Run! We look forward to seeing you.

The special thing about the solstice run is not only that you increase your fitness level, but also that you do something for a good cause at the same time. Half of all entry fees are donated to a good cause. For the 2026 summer edition of the Sonnenwendlauf, the recipient of the donation will be the youngsters of the Leipziger-Kanu-Club e. V.

Price information:

The entry fee for the Sparkassen-Sonnenwendlauf is EUR 10. The registration deadline is June 14, 2026. Late registrations are possible (for an additional charge) up to and including June 19, 2026, 6:30 pm, on site. For organizational reasons, the starting field is limited to a maximum of 200 participants. As soon as the number of participants has been reached, pre-registration will be closed. It is therefore worth being quick, not only at the Sonnenwendlauf, but also when registering. There will be no timekeeping. Half of the entry fees will be donated to a good cause.
