Fauré's Suite Masques etBergamasques , written in 1919, is reminiscent of the French salon with its charm
and lightness is reminiscent of 18th century French salon music and combines humorous, playful and elegiac elements that create a moody, almost flirtatious atmosphere. Haydn's L'Impériale impresses with its monumental structure, lively rhythms and refined, vocal themes.

Mendelssohn's Italienische musically reflects the impressions of his journey through Italy with radiant themes, southern lightness and virtuoso passages. The program under the guest direction of Cathrine Winnes combines French sophistication, Austrian classicism and German romanticism to create a varied concert evening.
