Where does the problem actually lie? In loneliness - or in the fear of it? Is loneliness perhaps even contagious, or why do we find it so difficult to talk about it? Does it really always have to be a burden - or can it also be a space of peace, inspiration and new beginnings? And can real community ever come about if no one is ever alone? The club tells stories of being alone and of connectedness: of the 52-Hertz whale that glides through the vastness of the sea without being understood, of spiders that find their own ways, of people who are different - and discover something special in that very fact. Of those who seek closeness and others who wonder whether it is okay to feel lonely in the midst of many people. The ensemble, made up of people aged between 16 and 71, invites the audience to join them in an examination of their own loneliness.
