A concert evening to get in the mood for Advent

Ensemble Fenice presents Benjamin Britten's work for harp and female choir "A Ceremony of Carols".
11 movements with Christmas texts in Middle English combine Gregorian elements with contemporary harmony. This is accompanied by timeless Christmas carols - with harp accompaniment and a cappella - as a musical bridge between English Christmas tradition and familiar melodies.

Ensemble Fenice is an ambitious, independently organized women's vocal ensemble from Munich. Since its foundation in 2009, the ensemble has dedicated itself to the rich repertoire for women's choirs - from the Renaissance to the Romantic period to modern music. In 2025, Ensemble Fenice was awarded 1st prize for contemporary choral music at the German Choral Festival in Nuremberg, 2nd prize in the Romantic secular category and the special prize from Rondeau Production for outstanding achievements.
Since 2024, the ensemble has been under the direction of soprano and vocal coach Claudia Reinhard.
