A Christmas Carol

Our 16-year-old cult classic at the Theater im Depot: with a new cast and new ideas since last year. The recipe for our live-baked cookies remains the same, of course! We tell the classic story of the ruthless, miserly businessman Ebeneezer Scrooge, who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas night to give him the chance to change, in a modern and comical way without losing the literary quality of the original. A joyful and amusing evening of theater that warms the heart and poses the still topical question of social responsibility and the true values of being human. Funny, thought-provoking and delicious, the perfect recipe for the Christmas season!

What is it about?
Scrooge, the dogged old merchant, ruthlessly torments unhappy debtors, humiliates his employees and treats his fellow human beings with contempt. Even the forthcoming Christmas is superfluous for Scrooge and costs him money. But then, on Christmas night, he is haunted by three ghosts... The contemplation of his life leads him to finally change his attitude to a positive and life-affirming one. A Christmas Carol has been performed in many variations. In this stage version, the classic is staged in a contemporary way, with unconventional ideas and live-baked Christmas cookies!
