"Aalaapi" deals with a marginalized group that hardly gets a voice: the Inuit. With great skill, Laurence Dauphinais, together with radio artist Marie-Laurence Rancourt and the two performers Nancy Saunders and Cynthia Pitsiulak, creates a quiet and poetic work - and uses documentary material to tell the story of indigenous artists who commute between different realities of life: from the big Canadian city to beyond the Arctic Circle. "Aalaapi" invites the audience to experience an open encounter with the unknown and thus points beyond any real or imagined border.

The production was invited to the Stückemarkt of the 2021 Berlin Theatertreffen and had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
