A joint a cappella concert unites the groups NCOTB from Hamburg and Lylac from Mainz. The idea was born in the summer of 2025 at a festival near Freiburg when the two ensembles met and decided to perform together.

Lylac, an award-winning ensemble of five voices, presents a varied program of original compositions and reinterpreted jazz and pop classics. They combine classical a cappella sound with modern elements. Their repertoire ranges from songs by Earth, Wind & Fire to jazz standards by Duke Ellington and impresses with its harmonic variety and rhythmic sophistication.

The New Choir on the Block (NCOTB) stands for modern a cappella pop from Hamburg. Under the direction of Michael Thüne, the 25-strong choir has been inspiring audiences with its musical quality, passion and stage presence since 2018. With carefully selected and arranged songs - from current pop hits to classics from the 1990s and 2000s - the choir sets fresh accents in the a cappella scene.

Together, the concert promises to be a varied and energetic musical experience
