In their concerts, the Cologne duo WEHNERMEHNER solder (yes, solder ... for a change, nothing is "plumbed") the boundaries of their own music apart and back together again. To mark the release of their debut album 'Misquotation', the two present their current program, which includes original compositions and free improvisations as well as the unbiased examination, dismantling and reassembly of existing pieces from a wide variety of genres.

Max Wehner on trombone and Raissa Mehner on guitar have set themselves the task of moving as freely as possible in their interplay while remaining as close as possible to each other. Together they become entangled in fanatical rules and misunderstood jazz, untangling communicative knots with the help of conciliatory short-circuiting.
