In Spielen, Karen Köhler invites you to take part in a literary experiment: she writes about her own desire to play - about gambling, wanting to win, about dopamine, endorphins and new rules. And she invites you to play along. Because "to play" is a verb, a state, a change of consciousness. All you need for this evening is courage, curiosity and dedication. What happens next is up to the game.

Karen Köhler was born in Hamburg, she wanted to become a cosmonaut, learned to skydive and studied acting. After twelve years in the theater, she began writing and now publishes plays, screenplays, radio plays, essays, short stories and novels. She writes regularly for DIE ZEIT and ZEITmagazin.
