The X-Mas file is back and on a pre-Christmas mission in NRW: as the "fifth candle on the Advent wreath", the satirical format is sometimes loud, sometimes contemplative, but always incredibly entertaining as Christmas approaches.

Every year, people get caught up in this highly complex emotional mix in the run-up to Christmas: at the Christmas markets, boundless exhaustion mingles with an insatiable hunger for experiences, in the shopping malls, unbridled consumer frenzy meets stressed budgets and nerves, ringing bells and LED flashing in an endless loop become a shredder for sentimental childhood memories of quiet nights, sparkling snow and expectant contemplation.

In short: it's complicated! But there is an Advent event that provides the perfect answer to the pre-Christmas chaos: The X-Mas Files, the Christmas revue you can wrap up after! Created over ten years ago on a whim, it has now become a fixed date between the ensemble and its audience. "We treat ourselves and our audience to this very special program in which we can be loud, contemplative, satirical, serious and also extremely silly," says Thomas Koch, the show's initiator and presenter.
