Do you love your creamy latte macchiato in the morning, or are you passionate about creating magic in the kitchen? Is your food feed full of perfect shots? But do you also know how much love, work and expertise goes into the ingredients?

At the nationwide "Farmer for a day" campaign day on May 23, 2026 , consumers can discover how fresh milk, crunchy vegetables and the best grains find their way onto their plates.

For the seventh time, the Forum Moderne Landwirtschaft is inviting consumers to experience real farming for a day. Around 60 farms throughout Germany will open their doors and give 100 participants the opportunity to get hands-on experience - from feeding the animals to working in the fields and using modern agricultural technology.

Participation in the action day is free of charge, but limited to 100 places. The first step is to select a farm of your choice using the registration form. You can still apply to take part until April 20.
