Workshop: Body. Drawing. Art.
Nude drawing for beginners and advanced students in the special atmosphere of Palais Nesselrode with intensive guidance and instruction from the artist Alexander Edisherov.
Within its walls, the Hetjens - Deutsches Keramikmuseum houses an exciting collection of diverse depictions of the human body from various eras. Both prehistoric and modern examples of ceramic art are presented in the museum. Whether finely and richly detailed in porcelain or simply designed in clay, all materials and processes were used in the arts and crafts to depict the body.
Inspired by this representation, the workshop is dedicated entirely to the human body. The credo of the workshop leader, Alexander Edisherov, is: "Drawing is a universal language".
The aspects and techniques of nude drawing will be taught and explained together in small working groups. In particular, the secrets of perspective and anatomy will be discussed and an insight into the history of body representation will be given. Fun and enjoyment of the art of drawing are of course also part of the dynamic process.
