On September 20, the great, legendary jazz pianist Alexander von Schlippenbach will be performing on the stage of the small auditorium in an old Wilhelminian-style building, a former school, next to the streetcar station and just a few meters away from Lake Weissensee on the historic Döpfner grand piano. In an extraordinary cultural and social center that seems to have fallen into a deep slumber, spared from the real estate mania, he will be accompanied by stunning jazz musicians from the Berlin scene of international stature. All the musicians have different backgrounds and musical orientations, many of them are active in the experimental improv scene, but also in swing or classical music. Let us be surprised by the swinging, extraordinary sounds of the quintet, which will refresh and possibly change our view of sound and reality.
