Democracy festival by Demokratie Leben in Wiesbaden & Spiegelbild at KESSELHAUS as part of the "We in Wiesbaden" series

Our society is under tension. Insecurity is omnipresent - and is used by political forces to increase division, exclusion and mistrust. But uncertainty is not just a threat. It sharpens our focus, challenges us and shows us what is really important to us. And therein lies an opportunity: how can confidence grow out of uncertainty? How can we create spaces for encounters, dialog and trust despite different experiences and opinions? Under the motto "Uncertainty & Confidence - The Art of Togetherness", the WIR support group in Wiesbaden invites you to a whole series of events between October 30 and December 14, which should enable you to see uncertainty not just as a weakness or danger, but as a starting point for strong, diverse togetherness. How does insecurity influence our social coexistence? How can we prevent it from turning into agitation and polarization? And how can we use it to strengthen democracy and cohesion?
The closing event "Everything is political? The art of togetherness" will take place this evening in our Kesselhaus: Together with exciting guests such as Fikri Anıl Altıntaş, Bahar Aslan, Rachel Etse, David Zabel, Tarek Zaibi and others, we want to discuss the possibilities of repoliticization in education, media and society.
