In the arid landscapes of La Guajira, Colombia, Georgina, an old transgender Wayúu woman, knows that her time is limited and wants to change her life. She has nothing to lose and sets off in search of her siblings, who don't speak Spanish and are barely surviving on the fringes of Colombia's opaque bureaucratic system. Between open wounds, memories and immeasurable geographical and emotional distances, Georgina and her family come together and declare: Enough is enough! ALMA DEL DESIERTO is a story of resilience, a symbol of hope and part of a passionate fight for justice.
