An entertaining and stimulating approach to Goethe from a female perspective: three famous women, Christiane von Goethe, Bettine von Arnim and Charlotte von Stein, meet for a fictitious conversation.

Impulsive, aggressive and provocative, but also vulnerable and private, each defends her relationship with Goethe, as they always had to share the famous privy councillor with many women and the public.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - prince of poets, provocateur, "rock star" of his time - already idolized and respected during his lifetime, is illuminated, revered, criticized and perhaps also a little disenchanted as a person and a man.
