Amsterdam

In the organizer's words:

When an Israeli violinist living in Amsterdam finds a letter on her doorstep containing an inexplicable gas bill, a journey into the past begins. The gas bill, unpaid since 1944, leads the young woman into the history of her home and her own identity. Like in a detective story, she investigates the question of what happened back then and follows the clues to her present day.

Maya Arad Yasur's "Amsterdam", which was awarded the Stückemarkt Prize at the 2018 Berlin Theatertreffen, explores the significance of the personal and historical past for the present and also shows the limits of tolerance today.
