An Act

In the organizer's words:

An Act is an autobiographical and body-biographical solo by Neil Höhener. The piece explores identity and gender categories and blurs them in constant transformation. A video projection symbolizes water as a motif of freedom and change. The stage resembles a film set that is constantly changing and plays with everyday objects that transform into surreal forms and merge with Neil's body. The result is an androgynous, fluid being between the human and the animal. Changing gestures and movements create a personal, playful performance full of vulnerability.

An Act celebrates the unpredictable and invites us to poetically deconstruct categories and attributions and discover new perspectives.
