André Herrmann comes from Leipzig, is a stand-up comedian, bestselling author and writer - and Germany's undisputed Roastmaster. He became known as a two-time winner of the German-language poetry slam championships before conquering the stages as a stand-up comedian in 2019.

Herrmann has been touring live since 2022: Roast in Peace (2022-2024), followed by the reading tour for the SPIEGEL bestseller Urlaub mit den Eltern (2024-2025) - and from 2025 with his new stand-up solo Schlechte Zeiten Schlechte Zeiten.

As a writer, he works for heute-show (ZDF), LOL - Last One Laughing (Prime Video), Your Life is a Joke (Netflix) and Reschke Fernsehen (NDR), among others. He also develops series material for ITV, Pyjama Pictures and ARD. He has appeared in front of the camera almost 100 times with the "Roast of the Week" on Comedy Central, as well as in TAHNEE.7 (ARD Mediathek) and as Roastmaster in Limbus (ARD).

Herrmann has published the novels Klassenkampf (2015) and Platzwechsel (2018). This was followed in 2023 by the SPIEGEL bestseller Schön war's, aber nicht nochmal (Rowohlt), which remained on the bestseller list for 19 weeks.
