When the snow trickles softly, fairy lights illuminate the front gardens and there's a hint of magic and cinnamon in the air, it's not far away - the Christmas season. While nature retreats, we humans are still rushing through our last errands before the winter calm catches up with us. Hopefully. And then the time has come: the great festival of love is just around the corner - and with it, the dear family, with all their idiosyncrasies, quirks and foibles.
Andreas is in the process of preparing himself for the upcoming festivities and we get to know his family: the helicopter parents ("Why don't you put on something warm?"), kitchen fairy Grandma Liese and Grandpa Karl, who is struggling with his new hearing aid, the bustling Prosecco aunt Sophie, Uncle Philipp with his inexhaustible supply of bad jokes and, of course, the full-time pubescent "we-have-zero-bucks" twins.
Look forward to a 90-minute musical cabaret rollercoaster ride through the normal Christmas madness - including a vegan (?) Christmas goose, the threat of recorder Armageddon and the not entirely inconceivable connection between a string of lights from China and the power cut in half of Hamburg...
A program about the celebration of love, about family and togetherness, funny, heart-warming, thought-provoking and, of course, highly musical.
