In the organizer's words:

An idea becomes reality!

We are delighted to have opened the Bunte Hunde gallery in Oberhausen - a new place for contemporary art, exchange and genuine encounters.

We are starting with the exhibition "Animal Artlife" 🐾- as a tongue-in-cheek reference to our name and as a statement for diversity, attitude and topicality.

The gallery sees itself as a lively center:
Art is not only shown and sold here, but experienced in direct exchange. Our online store complements the offer - but the heart beats on site.

On display are, among others:
- Jörg Mazur - known as the artist of the elephant sculpture at Oberhausen's main railway station - with works from his "Monkey Man" cycle as well as Decalcomania
- Michael Holtschulte - known for his Totaberlustig cartoons - with the colorful series "MiJo"
- Wolfgang Kleinöder with his ironic installation "Achtung Kunst" (Attention Art)
- Pia Bohr with organic-abstract sculptures
- Herbert Siemandel-Feldmann with works from "50 Elephants" for the benefit of the NABU Ranger Fund
- Iris Schnaitmann with reduced animal sculptures
- Claudia Gaede with elegant Galgo depictions, the proceeds of which will go to Equiwent
- Jim Avignon, who will also be a guest at the gallery from 30.04.2026 with his solo exhibition "long story short".
