Anna of the North 's music is not cold and dark, as her name might suggest. Instead, her voice, backed by minimalist instrumentals, feels like a warm embrace from a good friend who has long been close to her heart. Once formed as a duo, Anna of the North has become a solo project that has evolved from its electropop beginnings into a grown-up sound somewhere between indie pop and singer-songwriter. The song "Lovers " - a modern indie pop ballad from her debut album of the same name - recently cracked a quarter of a billion streams on Spotify and is the singer's undisputed top track. Her track "Leaning On Myself" won a Spellemann Award for Music Video of the Year in 2019, while her current album "Crazy Life" was nominated in the Pop category in 2022. With a total of three albums and two EPs in her luggage, Anna of the North will be coming to Cologne, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg in February on her EUROPE TOUR 2026.

Anna Lotterud, the daughter of a professional musician, started writing songs at the age of 18, but did not initially plan a career as a musician. After studying in Oslo, she moved to Melbourne, Australia, where she met New Zealand producer Brady Daniell-Smith. Together with him, she founded the Anna of the North project in 2014, alluding to her Norwegian origins. After the debut single "Sway " - whose sound is somewhere between electropop and dreampop - became an internet success, the duo signed a record deal with Honeymoon. Anna of the North released further singles in 2015 and 2016 and toured Europe as support for Kygo. In 2017, Anna was featured on the songs "Boredom" and "911 / Mr. Lonely" by Tyler, the Creator, both tracks from his album "Flower Boy". "Lovers" was then released as the first single from Anna of the North's debut album of the same name. The track went on to become the duo's biggest success and they split up shortly afterwards. Anna's solo debut "Dream Girl" was released in 2019, after which the album's title track was used in a commercial for the Apple iPad Pro in 2020. The EP "Believe" followed in 2020. In 2022, the singer released her latest album "Crazy Life". This year, Anna of the North returned with the EP "Hei på deg" and new songs such as the current single "Waiting For Love", which - following the release of "Give Me Your Love Back " - already hints at a new album. In the new chapter, she once again combines modern electro and indie pop with singer-songwriter ballads to create a relaxed sound and is at the peak of her artistic career to date.
