In the organizer's words:

As part of her research residency City Pieces, Dresden-based choreographer Anna Till is exploring compositional and socio-political working methods for dance in public spaces. Her research interest is focused on US postmodern dance of the 1970s. The aim is to translate the movement aesthetics and conceptual considerations of artists such as Trisha Brown and Lucinda Childs into her own artistic practice and to develop contemporary choreographic scores for urban spaces. Under the working title City Pieces, several choreographic sketches will be created that place the body, with a focus on its vulnerability and creative potential, in relation to urban architecture and the urban public sphere.

In the discussion with curator Daniela Ebert, Anna Till will report on her research and invite us to think further about the topic together.
