With an unmistakable blend of monumental organ sounds, experimental sound art and a voice that is both vulnerable and overwhelming, Anna von Hausswolff has long since established herself as a fascinating artist who inspires with her creativity. The Swedish musician has now announced her "ICONOCLASTS" tour: At the center of the tour is her new album of the same name, which will be released on October 31 via the YEAR0001 label. On it, Anna von Hausswolff once again demonstrates her special ability to interweave tradition and innovation. With the church organ at the heart of her work, she unveils soundscapes that hover between ancient rituals and modern experiments. On "ICONOCLASTS", she expands this foundation with poppier, brighter elements without losing the characteristic depth and intensity of her music. The previously released singles "Stardust" and "The Whole Woman" give a taste of the album's versatility: while "Stardust" calls for a radical rethink and pulsates with energetic force, the duet with Iggy Pop shows a more intimate, almost tender side to the Swede's artistic expression. Supported by long-time companions and guests such as Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard and saxophonist Otis Sandsjö, the result is a work that is spiritual, uncompromising and true to life in equal measure.
