For the first time, the internationally acclaimed photographer Anne Geddes is showing her life's work in a museum. Over 150 works from four decades will provide a comprehensive insight into her extraordinary world of images at the NKT. Geddes became world-famous with her iconic portraits of babies - imaginative, colorful, tender and powerful at the same time. Her motifs celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of the beginning of life - and at the same time draw attention to the vulnerability of children.
The exhibition is divided into ten themed areas, including touching black and white series and haunting portraits of children who have survived serious illnesses. On the upper floor, a specially produced film provides personal insights into the artist's life and attitude.
Anne Geddes has been taking photographs since 1982, now lives in New York and, together with her husband Kel, campaigns for the protection of children worldwide. Her pictures are a tribute to childhood - and a call to protect it.
