With "Ansichts-Sachen - Landschaftsmalerei von Gerhard Knell", the Kulturhaus Milbertshofen is showing acrylic paintings and drawings by this painter until 29.10.25. Knell's works are technically versatile and full of joyful experimentation. His spectrum ranges from figurative realism to action painting. However, the landscape remains the main and leitmotif.
Technical versatility and a mix of styles make the large-format pictures exciting and unusual.
Gerhard Knell either finds motifs in nature or they are products of the creative process and his imagination. Figurative or architectural elements are also frequently found in his pictures. In contrast to the otherwise very free design, they are rendered accurately and almost photorealistically. This results in an attractive mix of styles.
Gerhard Knell lives in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and has been working as a freelance painter, graphic artist and illustrator since 1997.
