Many artists have already dealt with city views, popular, special or important places in the city area. Oil paintings, drawings, photographs and prints from the City of Herne's art collection make for a very special tour of the city. Visitors can rediscover the two towns of Wanne-Eickel and Herne from the artists' perspective in the special exhibition at Strünkede Castle in the anniversary year of the town's marriage. Not only the "typical" views, such as the Cranger Kirmes, Strünkede Castle, Wanne harbour or the town halls are shown, visitors also have the opportunity to look at border towns or streets in the neighborhood through the eyes of artists such as Albert Kelterbaum, Jupp Gesing or Ferdinand Ullrich.
