This exhibition does not present current research findings or provide an insight into our collection. Rather, it addresses a question that is currently on the minds of many of our colleagues: The question of the appropriate handling of human specimens in museums.
With around 100 specimens on loan from collections in Berlin, Erlangen and Munich, we are testing the potential of specimens in the museum space. In what contexts can they be placed? What functions can they fulfill? How can they be displayed appropriately? Or is it better to do without them altogether?
We invite our visitors to formulate their own answers.
We have prepared feedback cards and an online survey for this purpose. Take part!
