For the podcast and event series "Buch-Lounge", journalist and presenter Mona Ameziane travels across Germany to meet inspiring authors and discover their stories. At Kantine Augsburg, she meets Verena Keßler and Franziska Gänsler.

In "Gym", Verena Keßler doesn't talk about the gym, she talks about the MEGA GYM. About superlatives in every form and a protagonist who not only pushes her body, but also her own limits. The main thing is to keep up, or even better: to be the best - and that nobody finds out her secret.

"Like Islands in the Light" is about the limits of memory. In her second novel, Franziska Gänsler writes about the disappearance of a sister and the contradictions that this family gap brings with it. The protagonist embarks on a search - and reorganizes the suspicions of the past on the French Atlantic.
