Are you ready?

Ensemble CRUSH presents the second edition of its concert series MOTION CRUSH: Are You Ready? is a performance about a concert that never begins. The collaboration with choreographer Foteini Papadopoulou and composer Lukas Tobiassen continues, focusing on the moment of "getting ready". Here, the concert set-up itself becomes a performance - a ritual that normally remains hidden from the audience: seemingly pragmatic actions such as laying cables, positioning chairs and tuning instruments become music, dance and interaction. Every step can be choreographed, sometimes casually, sometimes consciously staged, abstracted and accompanied by music. Movement becomes rhythm, sound is created through gestures, and everyday actions are transformed into performative acts in an overall composition with humorous and scenic elements.

A concert that begins before it starts - and ends before it begins.
