Art 7 - Zeit

In the organizer's words:

Time is relative - and this is exactly what the artist group Art 7 reflects in its anniversary exhibition. For 50 years, the group has been exploring in changing constellations what art can tell us about how we view ourselves and the world. Today, the members work closely together and are constantly enriched by guest artists.

The exhibition shows diverse perspectives on the theme of time and poses the question of true freedom. What does our own voice say? What do we want to be free from? The group's works encourage us to pause and detach ourselves from external definitions of time. Only then is an encounter possible - with oneself, with others and with art. The exhibition by the Art7 group shows how differently artists understand and represent the theme of time - sometimes personally, sometimes critically, sometimes poetically. With paintings, collages, photographs, woodcuts and moving objects, they bring transience, memory and change to life in a variety of ways.
