Israeli indie musician on tour with band and new album Festival summer in Germany

After his acclaimed solo concerts, Asaf Avidan returns with another tour and festival shows. Known for his unique, touching voice, his poetic lyrics and his now almost mythical stage presence, Avidan is putting his intimate shows to rest and going back on tour with a band for the first time!

The new show promises a wide range of musical genres and a theatrical stage setting that provides the perfect backdrop for songs from all the creative periods of his celebrated repertoire and also gives him the opportunity to present his new album live.

The N.Y. Times described him in a concert review as an "artist who writes like Leonard Cohen, sings like Robert Plant and has the magical charisma of a cabaret dancer". And although there couldn't be a more generous compliment, Avidan has now established himself as a completely independent artist who no longer needs any comparisons, but has long been in his own league.

Both in the studio and on stage, Avidan refuses to use computers, auto-tune and playbacks. As a result, his albums are analog acoustic treats and his concerts are genuine live experiences from one of the best artists of his generation, who seemingly effortlessly combines folk, jazz, blues, rock, pop and even rap to create a completely unique sound cosmos of his own!
