A world in which everything turns out well? In which forgiveness and generosity triumph over avarice and malice? Who wouldn't wish for that... In Rossini's opera buffa, this dream becomes reality on stage. The title character Angelina does not have an easy life under the arrogance and resentment of her stepfamily. But not even her stepfather, the impoverished nobleman Don Magnifico, can prevent her transformation from Cinderella into a mysterious beauty: Angelina enchants everyone present at the prince's ball. But it is not only Cinderella's disguise that causes confusion - the prince himself also pretends to be a servant and causes all kinds of comical mix-ups.

"La Cenerentola" combines Rossini's irrepressible musical energy with the dream of a better world. And so the enchanting fairy tale of Cinderella is transformed into a lively social satire full of musical wit, elegance and joie de vivre that tells of faith in the good in people.
