Perched high up on the Fräuleinsbrunnen fountain in Bietigheim's old town is Melusine - a princess and mermaid, half fish and half human! But what is this figure all about and why was she chosen by the people of Bietigheim as the fountain figure? Tour guide Béatrice Ensinger slips into the role of a Melusine and whisks her companions away into the world of medieval legends - in French, of course.

The legend of the Melusine still characterizes many places on France's Atlantic coast, but the people of Bietigheim also once chose her as a lucky charm. She had special powers and made everyone who was near her happy and rich. What did she do and in what way? On her walk through the old town of Bietigheim, she will reveal it to the young and old alike.

This legendary costume tour starts at 2 p.m. at the Fräuleinsbrunnen in Bietigheim's Old Town. After the one-and-a-half hour tour, there is the opportunity to finish off together in a café in the old town at cost price.
