Vacation offer

Albrecht Dürer was not only a brilliant draughtsman and painter, he also wanted to understand how to depict objects and landscapes "correctly" and what actually constitutes the beauty of the human form. He also used his travels to Italy to learn about the "secret arts" - perspective and proportion.

Based on the current hands-on exhibition in the Albrecht Dürer House "500 Years of Dürer and Geometry. Old knowledge - new worlds", we go on a journey of discovery in Dürer's footsteps and look at his original prints, do drawing exercises and experiment. You will discover the secret of perspective with strange devices. For example, we test the famous "glass plate apparatus". We will also test the theory of proportions by taking measurements on our own bodies.
